T5 wont turn on?

Hey guys,

I will troubleshoot later tonight. In the middle of taking care of my kids, reading etc.

I will have to take down my new light since USPS bent and broke one of the bulbs for my new fixture! Son of a ..... :banghead:

Well, right now the outer T5s aren't turning on since one of them broke. It is currently an open ended socket. Will that cause the other T5 not to turn on?

I will swap out the bulbs later to test the outer T5/ballast etc to see if everything works just no bulb in place.

USPS

The bend isn't "horrible" but just paid 300 for a fixture to arrive in not "new" condition because of the delivery method sucks donkey poop.

I dealt with the seller on another occasion and has been pretty good thus far. We'll see what happens if USPS gives me a problem with getting any type of compensation for their failure to deliver a package undamaged. The package had 2 big labels that said "FRAGILE"!

The fixture itself was in pretty good bubble wrap then placed with cardboard on the underside and surrounded by packing peanuts. Same as the previous package so I hope it wasn't done before being shipped.

What size bulbs?

Depending on how they are wired one open will prevent the others turning on.

Tested it last night. Confirmed that one open will not allow it to turn on.

The red is pretty overpowering. If it isn't spread does it only affect the corals it hits?

What t5s do you have for supplement?

Mine came with:

1 blue plus
1 coral plus
1 purple plus

The other one was broken during shipment but I would assume a blue plus.

I am probably going to buy a blue plus for the outer t5s then coral plus and a kz new generation.

I've never had a problem with it ..I had it over my 93 cube. .I had 2 Fiji purple and 2 blue +..

How is sps growth? I would assume depth would be an issue? Do you have the 36 or 24 inch version?

I have the 24" and the light grew anything I put in the tank. .I really have no complaints about the light except the weight

Yeah it is a little heavy. It is bringing down my .5 conduit pipe.

Good to know that it is working out for you not many reviews. How high do you have it though?

I also don't like that the t5s aren't controlled by the onboard controller for timer unless I just don't see it.

No you can't control the t5 bulbs..I barely ever used the t5 on mine ..but u can just add 2 wall timers and use them that way...

It's called prestige gamma.

I currently have no real reviews until 2-3 months at the minimum. I'll need to get some sticks to say how well it does. If anyone wants to donate some with full intention of returning the colonies. Lmk!!

Very happy with the light....I don't have my 93 cube anymore. I upgraded.to a 180 but I still have the light in my closet cause I liked it and figured I'd use it again at some point ...
