I've had my 75 gallon tank up and running for 8 months. I had a Toby blue puffer, coral beauty,McCoskers Flasher wrasse, and a salfin tang. Last week I added a fuzzy dwarf lion and a pearlscale butterfly. Last night my butterfly was breathing very heavily, and his fins looked a little shreaded. This morning I found him dead, and my coral beauty swimming up at the top. His eyes were very cloudy, his color was faded and some white spots on him. I quarantined him immediately but he only last a few hours. My puffer and lion appear to be fine, but my sailfin and wrasse are covered in white. All fish ate well today. I went to my lfs and they told me that it didn't sound like ich, that it sounded more like flukes because the fins were shreaded, the eyes were clouded and fins were torn. They sold me PraziPro. I'm still not convinced that it is flukes. I was able to get a picture of my wrasse. What does it look like to you?my tank is 75 galons, I have a 20 gallon refugium and a protein skimmer.

It's very possible it could either be Ich or Flukes, as both have very similar symptoms. A big difference between the two is that a fish that has flukes will shake its head from time to time. The best way to check if it has flukes is to give the fish a 5 min fresh water dip, just make sure the temp and Ph match the tank. If it has flukes you should see them come off the fish at that point, if none do, then it's probably Ich and you need to either treat with copper or Hypo.

Also, if you're using Prazipro turn off the skimmer and remove any carbon. It also take 5-7 days before the fish will be better, even then a second treatment will probably be needed.
