Anyone have any experience with a slippery ****? I was thinking setting up a Caribbean biotype and adding a few slippery dicks?

They are a wrasse so I assume I will need a cover. I will also like to get a bunch of them. Will slippery dicks live in piece with other slippery dicks? Are they cold water? Give me all the information you have about slippery dicks? Reef safe? Invert safe? I want to make sure I do my research on them first and give them the proper set up. I don't want to get me slippery **** prematurely and not know what to do.

Are they hard to get eating in captivity? How are they with Copper?

They are a $1.50 per slippery **** at this site. It's cheap enough so I am planing on getting a few slippery dicks. They are in the first row and third column.

Thank you everyone in advance for sharing your experiences with slippery dicks.

Ok, I'll pretend this isn't obvious troll bait and you really want to know how to get your hands on a slippery ****.

Slippery dicks can be quite large, one of the largest Halichoeres wrasses. Some of the biggest slippery dicks can get up to an astonishing 14" long, though the average is much shorter. Your slippery **** will probably be much smaller though, maybe around 2-3", as your average hobbyist is going to be intimidated by a very large slippery **** and stores therefore avoid them. Even if an LFS employee tells you on the phone he has a large slippery **** it's still best to go see it in person.

In the wild slippery dicks are social, though in your tank you should probably stick to just one. Anyone who has worked with slippery dicks can tell you that if you put too many in one tank eventually they'll start fighting, it's just their nature.

Slippery dicks are tropical, hailing from the Caribbean down into Brazil. No slippery **** is going to thrive in the cold.

Slippery dicks are emphatically not reef safe. Once in slippery dicks tend to wreck things up. They also eat inverts.

Slippery dicks usually do well in captivity provided they're shown tender loving care. You must take care to properly select your slippery **** in the first place, however. At the store make sure your slippery **** is alert and attentive, properly reactive to stimulus, and not lying limp on the bottom of the tank. Some slippery dicks may also carry disease, and you must use protection in the form of vigilant observance for obvious signs of infection as well as strict quarantine. You never want to just toss a slippery **** in without inspecting it first, as the infections they carry can be a big pain to treat.

Since you've been thinking long and hard about slippery dicks I hope this helps. If you choose to forgo them though I'll understand, not everyone's a big wrasse man.
