Pics at the end, 29g Cube. Thank you to those who have heard this story this week and have offered to help. I was so proud of my rebuild after my partial crash April 2014. I am going to use this experience as a learning process and challenge to rebuild better than ever. If anyone can help with small frags at a low cost, it would really help, even tiny chips. Only fellow reefers can understand the lost cost, time and emotion.

It's amazing how years of work can be eliminated in an instant. Tank was normal this past Monday morning, gone Tuesday evening. I suspect an alkalinity spike from the pump being left on too long, though that was Sunday and only ~150ml ALK went in, performed a water change and everything looked perfect. I unfortunately was rushing to catch a flight and could not do more water changes and knew I would be back in 24 hours....that proved too long.

I suspect the spike slowly killed off all the inverts and the die off snowballed from there. Despite all the $$ lost and coral which I usually take care of meticulously and have watched grow, my biggest loss is my Clown fish. He was my first saltwater addition and has made it through 5 years, 3 tanks and 3 cities. I miss him.

The only survivors are a few zoa colonies, orange lepto, 1/2 of green acan echinata.

RIP:
~70 snails and crabs
Coral banded shrimp
Peppermint shrimp
Emerald crab
Flame scallop

Clown fish
Six Line Wrasse

Way way too many zoas to list

Pink tip anemone
Green bubble tip anemone

Orange/multi color acan echinata
Large rock encrusted red favia
Large red monti cap
Green monti cap
Green/yellow leptastrea
Small 4 head frogspawn
Pulsing xenia

More pain starts here....over 30 sps. Below are a few, most were from 1" to 3" mini colonies and most I don't know names of.
Red dragon
Bright blue acro
Blue/green tabling like acro
Tricolor Bonsai
Pink millipora colony
Purple/blue milliora
Strawberry shortcake
Unknown rainbow-like acro (my absolute favorite and pic of it as a baby below)
Hawkins blue/green echinata
Green birdsnest colony
Pink/Purple birdsnest colony
Green pocillipora
Purple/pink pocillipora large colony
Red acro
Purple acro
Green slimmer
Red digitata
Bright pink digitata (amazing glow)
Large rock encrusted sunset montipora
Superman montipora
Green stylophoras
Random other frags, never good with names or species

Not to be missed...aptasia

Pictures. Most from about 2 months ago. Unfortunately, I do not have a pic of it recently and more has been added since these.

Unknown sps, loved it

Thanks everyone for your support. I do have another random tank I'm using to rescue a few things and previous used to house some frags. When I'm ready, I'll reach out for something small. I don't want to mooch too much. I will certainly return the favor and if anyone is interested in trading, I'll post zoa frags later.

I am very sorry for your losses especially the clown! Been there quite a few times over the past 20 years so I know that empty feeling in the pit of your stomach as well as in your heart! Good that you are not giving up.

LOVE my MR reefer family!! Always ready to help... Wish I could offer you something, but my tank never did recover from the Sandy devastation, and I don't have much in my tank. I could give you a couple of shrooms - red or green.:(

Sorry for your loss, it sucks when you have a crash like that. It always makes me question keeping tanks for a while. Soon enough though it always drags me back in and my addiction resumes.

Sorry to hear about losing the tank. It definitely happens. At least you had a really beautiful reef that you got to enjoy! I'm sure before you know it you'll have a wonderful setup again. I'd offer frags, but I'm still starting my tank. I can offer advice on the forums though!

Best of luck on the next build!

Thank you MR community for your support and offers. I just sent a few PMs to help start my rebuild. I will be at the swap and will be saving up to buy some frags from vendors and members.

Feel free to PM me with what you have for sale, trade (some sunny d's and other zoas pulled through) or up for grabs.

-Jeff
