Just got a few shrimp and I always drip acclimate everything but I have heard that they only need to be temp acclimated and then just thrown right in. How does everyone else do it? :splitspin

Interestingly, I've read that shrimp are especially sensitive to abrupt changes in water conditions. I would definitely drip acclimate, especially since you're obviously used to doing it anyway. Why take a chance?

Like Dean mentioned, shrimp are very sensitive to sudden changes in water parameters. A nice slow drip is appropriate.

There is no need to drip acclimate corals or clams, just temperature acclimate.
