So I bought a used skimmer and like so many things bought used here it in less than perfect condition but still worth the pennies I paid on the dollar and I will have to put some work in to get it up and running. You know a Frankenstein Mod.
Its a Euro Reef Skimmer with a sedra 5000 pump. The Needle Wheel is broken and the snorkel housing is broken on one side.
I could go thru Euro Reef but their prices are sick! Impeller 60.00! Snorkel 30.00. Now I could pay that and fix the thing and consider it a net gain and call it a learning experience. But, Im doing some research and it looks like I can get it at Marine Depot for 45.00.
My question...
Does any one know of a cheaper place for the sedra 5000 pump parts for either the Euro Reef or ASM?
Does anybody have for sale a needle wheel impeller for the sedra 5000 pump.
Finally, My backup skimmer is down as well A workhorse
Coralife Super Skimmer Needle Wheel Protein Skimmer Pump.
Anybody got a working pump for this cheap and WORKING?
Its a long shot but what the hell I know some of you have boxes with all manner of pieces and parts that by rights should have been thrown out but you could not do it so its in a box!
