I want to know what is the 1 best and the 1 worse piece of equipment you have purchased in this hobby??

Worst wasn't a specific purchase - it was the stock skimmer that came my Red Sea Max 130d. Thing never worked properly and was loud. I upgraded to the Tunze 9002 and InTank media rack, kept the stock pump for mixing water, and threw out the body of the original skimmer.

Best? Probably my Radion Gen 2. Been a beast since day 1. No regrets, though it's only competing against the stock PC's the tank came with.

This is an easy one.
The most useless piece of equipment I've bought, excluding the numerous pumps that were under powered, too noisy or worn, the PC lighting, or the underpowered 2 blub T5 fixture, the absolute, most useless piece of equipment would be the heater, fully encrusted and hanging in the overflow box. Probably doesn't work anymore and never been cold enough to flip on.

Wooden air diffusers for my first precision marine skimmer..Skimmer was a BEAST for the first 2 weeks after I'd swap them out then fizzzz no skimming.
