Reef and Home Renovation

My house will be under renovation soon and would like to get your opinion about running my reef tank during this process. My tank is located in my bedroom that will not be renovated. My concern is, will ph in my tank rise when walls near my bedroom get painted. Also I worry about accumulation of dust, when the contractors put in new hardwood floors and dry wall near my room. If you guys have any words of advice, feel free to comment. Thanks Alex!

cover the tank with a towel or a sheet when their sanding, close the door and crack a window when their painting.

I would turn off the skimmer of you have one. All the air would be mixing with tank water. This is what I do if I clean oven etc. and my tank is close to the kitchen.

Thanks Eric for the advice. My skimmer is in the sump, what if I take a large garbage bag and cover it, and keep the skimmer running?

get a length of vinyl hose and run the skimmer intake out the window. mine runs to the outside air. and it will boost your ph a little also.
