I have a serious kalarpa take over n need to kill it n make my live rock dead rock. I boiled them n didnt seem to do much... And suggestions on the fastest way to kill it without damaging the rock to put ut back into my reef?

I'm more of a - let it sit in a bucket with an air pump, in the dark for a few weeks, till everything dies off. Then water change in the bucket till its odor free, then back into the tank. Actually air pump is optional if you have a garage and don't mind the smell. It will die off much faster.


Hmm, now that its winter, you can just put it in a bag, outside and let it freeze. Instant die off, then cure in a bucket with air pump.

Ive boiled them then let them sit out for a day in side, then a day n half outside then brought them in picked off the dead stuff then washed them n now lettin them dry again.... Idk if its enough i guess ill find out..... Next step is to buy all new rock n give the old away

What i did was arduous but it worked. Some of my rock is green now but that will go away eventually. What was good about this was i found beautiful tube worms on the opposite side of the rock i was able to save lol
