Elegant Coral

So I got an Elegant Coral yesterday, it seems like there is a debate on if they must be placed directly on the sand bed only!!! Or they can be placed on a rock structure/slope on the bottom part of the tank as well.


Right now have him in the middle bottom part of my tank between my 2 larger rock structures on a small angel rock structure (close to the sand bed), so he is like in a small valley and the flow is not directly on him this way.

So, sand bed only!!! Or the way he is now can be good as well????

I have one for almost 2 yeas when fully open it is about 9 or 10 inches. I keep it on the bottom of the tank on the sand bed and it does fine. I had it when it was small on a rock ledge but only kept it there for about one month. it was not doing well there but it may have been because it was a little shady. so I guess im saying I know for sure it will do well on the sand bed and that is where I would keep one if I decided to get another
