So I am getting ready to start glueing some frags to rocks. Ive read most people suggest an epoxy glue combo. So I was going to give it a try. I have two questions. The first, What epoxy to use? Ive seen most stores carry two little fishies AquaStik but ive read mixed reviews. For glue I have used the two little fishies glues so I was going to stick with that.

Also my frags have the plugs that stick out. Ive heard bone cutters will work to trim them enough to get the glue and epoxy to set. Is this true? And where can a get a good set? Ive heard home depot from other forums and posts but when I walked in there and asked they looked at me like I have 4 heads.

Any advice would be appreciated.

if you buy cutter from hd it will rust easily if you don't take care of it, hd refers to them as diagonal cutters. dr fosters carries them.
i have used TLF epoxy.
nip the stem off the plug, apply some glue then epoxy, then glue again and push onto rock with a twisting motion. good luck

I am very happy with BSI IC Gel. It is not runny at all and works well under water. I have even glued larger corals in underwater with good results. Pop corals sells it locally. I also find it to look much neater and natural to remove the frags from the plugs and glue right into the rock.

Agreed. Very easy to remove afterwards if you want to move it too

Krazy Glue Gel works great for attaching frag plugs to rock. It's cheap too. I get it from the dollar store.
As far as cutting the plug stems, almost any cutters will work (just rinse them good afterwards).
For fragging, I would use something stainless steel.

I use the tunze coral gum for most of the frags. It stays flexible so you can remove the plug and replace when ever you need to. If you combine it with gel glue it is dam near impossible to get out. I like the color as well, pink stands out less than the white epoxy.
