as long as he eats well and stays fat him natural immune will fight off any ick. try to keep water temp and salinity perfect when doing water changes to keep stress as little as possible. a good diet that includes some seaweed is also good for him

I know they say 125 gal mim tank size but I see couple things on YouTube with success in my size tank.. I really hope he stays the way he is or grows more healthy..

They may have copper in their systems, but unless it's at the correct level it's not going to do much to kill off the ich, by the way most place have some level on copper in their fish systems, not to mention most also run UV. You really need to QT this fish before you place it into your main tank, as they're Ich magnets and you don't want to introduce Ich into your main tank.

By the way, Ich is a parasite, and not a disease. Plenty of health fish, that are eating and doing well, die from Ich being introduced into the tank.

Your deff right bout that marrone but if u like me as many people on this forum seem to be the same lol u wanna just throw them in and sit back and watch it swim around for coupe hours/days then go for another lol I don't have a qt set up and why I was told by owner was that it was like he was qt at the store as he would've been in my house.. I acclimates him for bout 2 hours floated for 30 mins then rinsed him off to get as much copper infested water off him then dumped him in and seems to be fine.. Lights r off just seeing maybe someone knows of other methods of foods and diff ways to try your best to keeping the fish from destroying your display

it doesn't matter if he came from a copper treated system, if their is ich in your system he can get it if stressed out.
i did the same thing before, Will from aquatic obsessions warned me not to put the powder blue in but i figured i'll take a chance, big mistake. got major ich out break and lost 7 fish.
hope you have better luck.

Ich is a parasite that only affect fish, so your corals and inverts will be fine. If you don't have Ich in the tank, then regardless of how stressed out the fish is, the size of the tank, water quality, or what the fish is eating, it wouldn't get Ich. Now if the fish has Ich, or you have it in your tank, these things can help the fish fight it off.

you know you have the right amount of garlic in your tank when all the fish start talking with there front fins and the shrimp start sleeping on a bed of pasta

If your fish get ich what don't mean it's gonna die. Fish get ich in the wild as well. I'm glad you read this thread.
