I just recieved my large 280 gal filter any input do they work or smells bad

Nope ... I'm using 3 for my 265 gallon .. I stop using skimmer now..

works well, just keep the tubing clear by purging, and there is an odor, which I only notice when I walk in the room, but its not a deal breaker for what it does.

thank you I got large one which is rated for 280 gal my tank is 300 gal
