Is it Illegal to sell and buy maricultured corals?

I had posted a thread on another forum about wild colonies I bought. Somebody posted on my thread its illegal to buy and sell maricultured corals. ( which I didnt know ). If thats true, why do LFS sell them? Are we being setup, lol?

That person was/is wrong. Was he/she saying that in general or a specific location.

He just clarified it. Basically he was just saying to buy corals from stores that got it from a a person or company that has a permit to dive for corals, smh

your'e better off buying frags propagated from captive corals they just do better in home aquaria

Yeah, he is just saying that you can not go out and pick corals from the wild and sell them. You need a permit for that. You bought your from a store that bought it from someone who had the permit. You can sell yours just fine.
