So...

I have a 40 breeder/15 sump thats a mixed reef with lots of small frags. 1 teaspoon per gallon of kalkwasser in my ato has kept cal/alk pretty stable, but i dont like the mess with kalkwasser. Mixing, then avoiding adding the slurry, raising the ato pump, potential wear and tear on ato pump, no consistency because of dosing due to evaporation, etc. So i want to move to 2 part dosing.

There seem to be so many different ways to go:

Cheap - Jebao dosing pump - reliable???
Medium - BRS single pump dosers
More Expensive - Bubbe Magnus, Eshopps, Vertex etc...

I do have a used reefkeeper lite controller, havent set it up yet.

Anyone's input as to what route you went in a similar situation (Fairly new to hobby, small tank) would be awesome....

Thanks all...

I started out with a 46 gallon bow front with a 10gal sump. I was running Kalk in my ATO as well. I was not as wise as you and long story short my frags grew into decent size colonies. The demands of my coral soon were too much for Kalk alone. Unfortunately I also overdosed GFO at the same time and lost the majority of my sps. This was despite huge frequent water changes and 2 part dosing. I have since upgraded to a 65 gallon tank with a 40gallon sump. I chose the GHL doser 2 for my automated dosing needs. When it comes to automating 2 part dosing you don't want to skimp on the cost. I paid quite a bit for my unit but I truly believe it was worth it. The stepper motors and software are awesome and very precise.

Always depends on budget. I never had a problem with my BRS 1.1 dosers setup on a RKL .

I had a BM doser and now a kamoer. I haven't started with the kamoer but obviously when you pay more you get more.

LOVE MY JEBAO!!! Bought it after quite a bit of research and asking around. It's extremely precise and it's able to e calibrated at any time. The programming is simple, it's quiet and best of all, it's cheap!! I'm not one to skimp on equipment and I like the idea of paying a little more for the top of the line stuff, but after all the reviews I saw and heard, I really like the unit and can say that I'd strongly recommend it to anyone that was looking for. Dosing pump. Bought mine off eBay for $104 shipped from inside the USA and it arrived in 3 days. I am speaking of my own experiences and those of a handful or more of others that shared their experiences and I didn't hear one bad one.

Plus... It's got 4 pump heads, as opposed to the Eshopps w 2 so you're limited to ca n alk, likely. I dose mag too and like the idea of not having to buy another slave unit at 199 to dose one more thing. Or either the BRS where they're not even controlled or programmed, even with your RK, it's nice to not have to calculate times and rates. It's all inclusive... Sorry if that was a rant.

Whatever you do, don't waste money on a bubble magnus They are complete garbage and so is the customer service. Not to mention that they're expensive. IMO go budget with a jeabo and closely watch its performance for accuracy, or go with a GHL and sleep easier know that you have the best reviewed doser.
