mp40e quietdriver or the maspect gyre 130

i have a 24by 24 cube i allreday own a mp40 wes and i have radions that i can control with the reffklink but the mp40 is to noice and i need more flow so i was thinking to get a secontone but i dont know wich one to get thank you

imo i think 2 mp40 will be over kill on a 24x24 tank. get a mp10qd to sync up with your mp40. think you can generate better flow pattern than a mp40 with gyre. or u can ditch your mp40 and get gyre 150.

if money is not a problem. mp40qd would be ideal

That's a tough tank to get good flow. I would get the gyre 130 mounted vertical blowing across the back, and the mp40 blowing across the front. Both pumps going in the same clockwise direction.

actually thinking the same thing. depending on where the overflow is located mounting the 130 vertically might not be a good idea.

The overflow is in the middle of the tank

I have two mp40wes (one on each side) and two rw8 (backwall of tank) on my 80 gallon (48x24x16). I bought a gyre x150, hoping to replace the rw8's and 1 mp40. Im not all the satisfied with the gyre by itself, however it looks way better than the rw8's. Im running two mp40's (60% reefcrest) on one side and the gyre (70% pulse) on the opposite side now. Makes for great random turbulent flow. I do like that the gyre offers a unique water pattern and literally sucks out all detritus from my rock. Take that for whatever its worth.

I would do 2 Mp10s - one on each side of the overflow.
