I am about to become the owner of a custom-made Starfire Glass tank - upgrading from a 15 year young Dutch Aquarium to a Starfire glass. What do people use to clean the glass on the inside to prevent scratching please? Is it really as vulnerable to scratching as I've heard?

i use a regular mag float but i don't go down to the sand. i do the bottom by hand cause sand under the float will scratch it. clean the float often so theirs no sand stuck in it.

After testing out the magic cleaner and wasn't happy with it. I took a straight blade that I use to shape up my hair and it cleaned up all that hard glass algae and got it Crystal clear. Obviously, stay away from the silicone and don't point straight at the glass.

It is 7 bucks at a Sallys hair store for 10 blades.

Also, very useful for fragging zoas.

$7 for 10 blades? Wow...I use a straight edge razor for my beard and pay $3 for a back of 10 double edge blades which turns into 20 blades......to answer Debbie I use a mag float on my sapphire tank and a blade at the bottom....the size of the float depends on the size of your tank....ive done evox's way and comes out beautiful but takes forever....I bought a float and my 190 is done in 10 minutes....cant believe I waited over 2 years to finally get one
