Im just curious as to how people are mounting frags on to the tanks. i find a hole that fits the plug in an area that i think the frag would do good and hope for the best. but im trying to get rid of all of the damn plugs. I have heard glue, wedging and even sowing into place.

i wanna hear all the ways you guys mount them! (the corals to the rock not the...:bunnies:....)

I put my frags on a frag rack and over a period of weeks to a few months I raise the frag rack till I see the corals color look the best. I then snip the bottom of the plug off and find a spot on the rocks at that level. I use crazy glue then epoxy then crazy glue then put it in place. It don't bother me to have the remaining plug. In a few months the coral covers it and you can't even notice it's there anymore

I like to break/cut the frag off of the plug, then crazy glue it into a spot on the rock. Especially if it has encrusted, because I can usually then keep the plug and start growing another frag or make a free donation to a fellow reefer.

Frag Plugs

I have been using these and really like the natural look and the fact that the nub snaps off, although I do find it easyer to snap off before mounting the coral as I have had the coral also pop off when cutting off after.
