Pm1 Issue

I've been trying to update the firmware on my pm1 but its not doing nothing/ taking the new firmware. It blinks yellow when I first plug it in. Then it goes to a steady yellow. I even tried different ports, same issue. What yall think the problem could be??

solid yellow indicates loss of communication to the base unit, did you try swapping the aqua bus cables with the working EB8; can also re-flash the base unit and then update the PM1 again.

I swapped out the cable with another cable that is running to my other pm1. Same issue. When you say reflash are you talking about doing a system reboot?

Reboot wont hurt but meant to go thru the process of updating the firmware again with the PM1 connected.

O yea I tried that a couple of times. I just realized that my apex is not even recognizing the pm1.

Try deleting the PM1 from the Apex, and reset the PM1 again. After that I'd call Neptune and open a ticket with them.

Why does it always seem so difficult to work with aquarium electronics?? Good luck. At least with Neptune we know they will solve the issue at the end of the day.

You said you swapped with a cable from your "other PM1" maybe the unit is confusing one PM1 with another and not seeing both, possibly the second one is configured incorrectly. I'm not that sure how the apex software works... I've had mine only 3 days, but from basic computer knowledge, this could be an issue. I would try deleting the second PM1 and reinstalling it fresh. GL

I had a similar issue, did a bunch of back and forth with the apex folks until they finally replaced it.
