I have a pair of Harlequin shrimp and this morning I notice that the female seems a lot rounder, looks like she has a clutch of eggs under her. Anyway here's the cool part, they were both hanging out side by side when the male drifted off on his own and found an asterina star. He then picked it up and carried it over to the female and just kind of gave it to her. As she began eating he went and found another one for himself. I have had harlequins in the past and have seen the male protect the female but in all my years of reefing I have never seen one bring food to the other like that. I just wanted to share cause I think it was one of the coolest things I have seen yet.
