Are Actinic Lights Necessary?

Long story short, i came home last night to see only my whites, greens and red LEDS on. Blue and purple turned on slightly but nothing close to what they once were. im talking about maybe a light glow that cant be seen with lights on in my living room. As ive said over and over, im currently making way for a upgrade so money is tight. My question is, with my tank stocked with Zoas, Blastos, Acans, Rics, a Nem and several softies, can i keep my tank on just the whites or will i need to figure out something for the blues?

They aren't necessary and are for aesthetic viewing. Corals don't care about the spectrum colors of the light as long as they get the PAR the zooanthellae need for photosynthesis.

Thats great news! thank you! I checked the driver and everything last night and it wasnt that... may have been a connection or something. saving up for lights! lol
