Sometimes if the receiving party doesn't have a fully verified account or a bank account linked to their PayPal account, then PayPal holds the money for anywhere from 3-15 days before releasing it for use to the receiving account. This is to theoretically ensure that the deal goes through and the buyer is satisfied, since without a linked bank account or a fully completed profile, PayPal has NO way to get the $ back and make good on their guarantee. The usual line that thrives use is tat thy need it sent Friend/Family (which had no hold, since there's no $ back guarantee w F/F), bc they want to buy something with the $ and thy don't want to wait. I then tell them that if they don't have a fully legit PayPal account (which ANYONE can accomplish easily) then they can't be legit. It's amazing the stories people come up with to try and make you trust them, all to wind up robbing you. Last guy that got me went back and forth for 4 days and finally got me for $12, which he said was tr shipping. All that work, just to F someone outta $15. Sad really.
