Rubbermaid Roughneck Cans!!!!

Are Rubbermaid roughneck cans not such a great idea to cure rock in???? Cuz my dry rock has been in a 32gal roughneck for 4weeks. I read tonight that they leach tds! Pretty much every can does, even grey brute food grade ones, just not as much. Should I take it out immediately? I planned on transferring it to my tank on Saturday. Will I have algae problems now?
