I recently moved oy tank from my bedroom to the living room. the unfortunate thing is that it is facing East and the morning sun is hitting the tank at full force. Do any of you have similar issues? how do you work around it?

i only blame the sun because the growth is happening only on the left side, which is the side hit by the sun directly. it could very well be the excess nutrients though. water changes are in order i suppose =(

Blinds! I close my blinds in the living room every day before I go to work, otherwise my tank would get hammered by the afternoon sun (my apartment faces west). It keeps my tank, and my apartment, a lot cooler!

Mine gets blasted in the spring, as I have almost all windows in my apartment.

I adjust my lighting cycle to accommodate the excess sun.

Curtains in summer with my west window / patio doors. The hole wall is window.
