1 micron filter sock

So at work I have these one micron filter socks that are 4 inches wide that would fit perfectly in my sump my question is. is one micron way to fine ? I ask because I get them for almost nothing at $.25 each because we go through so many in a week.

that sounds way to fine. a carbon block is 5 micron in your ro filter.
i think most use 200 micron socks. you sure its not 100.

i think you would be changing them 3 times a day.
i use 200, and they clog in 2-3 days.
you might be filtering out good bacteria.
