I've had these fish for 3 years with an open top and only one casualty. I think it was a diamond goby.
Only one I'm a little worried about is the leopard. I hate the look of a rimless with a screen top kinda defeats the purpose.

Honestly and I know I might get blasted but I don't test. I'm trying to keep fairly easy coral
This time.
So far I'm sticking to weekly or bi weekly water change schedule. I also have a very shallow sand bed (40lbs/under 1in in most spots) that I vacum every change.

I woke up this morning to my wife yelling and a Bangaii Cardinal stuck to my hardwood.
Maybe I'll look into that screen top.

Oh man that sucks, I feel bad for opening my big mouth lol. If done right you won't even notice the screen top, my buddy has an 80g rimless with a screen top and you wouldn't know it was there unless you are standing over it.
