making room for skimmer, cutting acrylic

So I got a new skimmer, its bigger the I thought, I can make room in my sump but only if ill take of one acrylic baffle, what's the best way to cut acrylic, and to take out that acrylic section without damaging my sump??
I can take out almost all the water out from the sump.

I had to cut a 3"?9" of the side of my sump toward the top to get my skimmer in.....i used a dremel

I like that idea, I wonder if home depot rents them?

No they dont, but you can get one for less than 20 at harbor freight....as cheap as the thing is, it has last over 2 years

+1 on the dremel. Note that lots of acrylic dust is created during the cut.

hm....... you might want to go slow but besides that it shouldn't be too much of a problem. Your sump is now more or less one piece. The glue basically molds them together so you shouldn't have too much issues as far as the sump coming apart.

+100 on the dust...cover everything in the immediate area including any access to your tanks water if you can...
