Schuran JetSkim 120

Man, I am skimmer obsessed- after lighting. I just bought a Tunze 9010 and I am breaking it in- seems to be a bit noisy at first glance. I was thinking about another German Skimmer and read a lot of good things about the Schuran Jetskim 100. Does anyone have this or a similar model? Can anyone compare. I have done a lot of reading on the reviews etc. and it looks good.

Yeah, seen it up close (there's one on a live rock holding system a friend has). Not terribly impressed...it's a rejuvinating venturi run by an Eheim. Pretty small, not much in the way of foam production. It does work though.

I like the Tunzes....they're small and work pretty well for the power...the new Tunzes are very nice with their proprietary pump, from what I hear.....will use one in a week or two.

IMO they both suck. Sorry to be so direct. If you want a great new skimmer Steve (singnyc) is doing a group buy on the ATI bubble master. They just came out in the US but got great reviews worldwide. The price is also comparable. Tunze will have new line of skimmers with "hydrofoamers" ATI is using the same pump manufacturer.
