Can someone please explain to me what's the difference between micro-lift special blend and brightwell mictobacterial7? Reading on both it seems like they do the same thing. They seem to be a cheaper alternative to dr tims one and only.

The only difference might be different bacteria in the bottle. Are you looking to add bacteria to your system?

special blend stinks for a few but ever since using it along with proper maintenance my tank is algae free and fish are active good sign to me.

I tried a few and they all work pretty much the same. I like Stability by sea chem. dr tim's is another good product. SB didn't do what people said to get rid of Cyano. Ever system is different. I think it works more on newer tanks. But older tanks didn't work.
Stability for me.
