white dots on toadstool leather

Hey guys, I need some help with one of my corals. Noticed some white dots around the edge of my leather toadstool last night after lights out. I have no idea what it could be. I know people are going to want pictures which i will try to get later today after the lights come on, but for now I figure some people may have some ideas.

My params as of last night are

NH3-0
NO2-0
NO3-5

MG-1300

The dots are by no means actual round dots, they are more various small random shaped white specs.

also going to be doing a water change today because i figure it cant hurt

been out all day, just got back and the lights are on. toadstool has its polyps out and i dont really see the white dots now. not sure if they went away or if they just cant be seen with the polpys out. ill post a picture if i see them come back. any ideas on what it can be or could have been is still appreciated.

Also keep in mind polyp extension is perfectly normal during the day.
