Shimming tank ?

So I have a 150 dd I built a stand it was perfectly level in my garage
And level in my porch until I got it in the spot it was going for good
And then it was like a rocking horse the floor is off is it ok to shim the stand and should I use anything special besides wood because of the weight

I used composite shims from home depot to shim my stand.

you may have built it on an uneven floor, if so the tank wont sit flush to the stand.
i would shim it level, then put the tank on it and see if its making contact all the way around on the stand.
when i build a stand i shim a flat piece of quality plywood level, then build on that.
