Frogspawn "Decapitation"

So I was recently gifted a bunch of corals from a fellow reefer as they are having tank complications etc. When the frogspawn was put in the container, apparently one of the heads decided to detach from the skeleton. I have it sitting in a container rubberbanded to a rock to keep it on the bottom of my tank and it seems to be happily puffed up and enjoying itself.

Can I just glue it to something else and just place it as normal in my tank?

This happened to all my Euphyllias last year. All the heads started falling off one by one. None of my colonies made it.

Well the problem is I don't know if it did it on its own or just broke off. Can i reattach it to something?

If it detached from the skeleton it will not survive

Well the thing is that it is not flopping around like a mushroom would look like, it still has a "core" piece in the middle on the underside. Sounds more like it broke off than released itself. For lack of better analogy it kind of looks like a blackberry would that there is a "core" surrounded by flesh.

Research 'polyp bailout'. If that's what you're describing, then it won't make it. No new head will grow from the skeleton either. It's happened to me a couple times but with a hammer and a torch
