leather corals

hey fellas reefer,
First and for most thks for taking the time to read this post. Im breaking my tank down but would like to keep some of my leather. but i need some info on leather, and how to safely remove them from rock work safely from their base or side. I know that their are one of the most hardy corals and can be frag many time and be ok. But I NEED TO COOK THE ROCK WORK. yes COOK.(Muriatic acid)

What do you mean 'BAKE' the rock? That is not what is meant by 'cooking' the rock !

yeah, i know lol. i need to cook the rock work with Muriatic acid.

Try to get the leathers off with some rock. Clip some rock off instead of cutting the actual coral.

Yeah I though of that but one if not all of the leather are in some holes within the rocks. But need to know what would happens if I cut the coral at base.
