I'm definitely considering the switch to light under the tank whenever the doors are opened. I have seen that idea used on canopies and like it a lot but since I have no canopy I'll use it for my sump area.I use a reef angel, but concepts are similar. I have two float switches wired in parallel monitoring my sump. If either changes mode then the level is too low or too high and the return pump goes off and then skimmer shuts down till I reset it. I have a skimmate locker connected to another one. I also monitor a relay connected to non-ups power to monitor for power outages and shutdown unnecessary items. I don't do these but others do: Trigger a switch when stand door is open to turn on lights. A "Doorbell" to trigger auto-feeder or some other mode/accessory. Just a few ideas..
