whats the best skimmer for a 28 gallon tank

trying to figure whats going to be the best skimmer for my 28 gallon cube it will have to be in the tank or hang on the back skimmer i was looking at the tunze 901 please share your thoughts thanks

You may have as many answers as the members on this forum. Most of us have experience with 1 or 2 skimmers. Once you adjust the skimming and add additional silencer (what is sometimes required) every skimmer will work almost the same. The most important thing is to buy a skimmer that is rated much higher than manufacturer rating. If you have 28 g tank I would buy a skimmer rated 50-100 gallons. I have 29 gallon tank and my tank is rated 55-100 gallons (depending on stocking) this is my only filtration and I don't have any problem with nitrate, etc.

thanks just trying to figure what is the best one to get u read so much on skimmers but i figured i would ask as the people that use them daily have the best imput on it

Don't buy stuff you dont need I see an upgrade in your future lol
But all jokes aside, if you really want a Skimmer I would recommend you get a sump. This will increase water volume making temp changes less drastic and a million other reasons
