TDS meter

Just got one. Would play it by ear in the past, either by how long the cartridges were used and how the tank looks.

So far RO/DI - 0.00 TDS

Tap water - 121 TDS

Glad I got one. Definitely worth the $15. Peace of mind.

Dan I can't believe you have had your tank looking that good for all these years without one....a must have piece of equipment for reef maintainance.

TDS of 121 isn't too bad mine is a lot higher... I'm on the end of the line

Funny right.

I guess I time my cartridge changes correctly. I have had one or two times where I changed the cartridges when algae/cyano started sprouting up.

Dumb not to buy such a cheap piece of equipment.

Thansk to BRS black friday deal I upgrade my dual meter to the triple. Now I can see the in to my membrane the out of my membrane and out of my DI. Pretty good to be able to monitor my RO/DI performance

I get like 1ppm out of the membrane and 0 out of DI. My tap is like 70-80

My tap water is 32 TDS (Plainview Water District). Probably explains why my DI's last longer than others.

267 tds in merrick. and that's on a good day. change my prefiller every 2-3 months.

I used to change mine bimonthly a few years back before the water company put filters in. It's a significant improvement that is visible noticeable.

Thats crazy! I'm in north bellmore and getting 1/4 of that...

test it every month when I mix new sw. the number is the number. after it goes through my rodi system its 0. that's what counts.
