Price on Zoa's

I have been out of the (reef) hobby for about two years now. I just looked at a website that only deals with Zoanthids. I figured that by now, with all the aquaculture, prices would go down a bit. Are people really paying like 50.00 to 80.00 for ONE polyp ?
I don't even want to mention the site, because I am kind of disappointed to see these kinds of prices.

I'm no expert on this but yes lol certain zoos r insane priced.. People trying to pay there rent for the next couple months on u lol don't get robbed

Its like anything, if something is really scarce with high demand people try and capitalize on it.

I have ordered zoas online like 2 times and it was a rip of the photo shop those pics and over charge. what I recommend is if you want certain kind of zoas put up a list here of what you need and everyone here will hit you up with what you need

Absolutely. Way too much photo shop online.

Everything is supply and demand. It's a matter of how soon you want to be the one with a new zoa. The price will continue to drop and drop over time. Check out prices of rastas, bam bams, sunny d's and many other zoas that would sell for $10-15/polyp. Now you can get a few polyps for the same price

The old school zoas should go down in price. AOG, Sunny D's, Red hornets. But there's always soemthing new in the highend area. Price will always be up there for certain zoas. Even some old school zoas like stratospheres may of even gone up in price because they melt so easily and nobody seems to have them anymore.

I much rather buy from another reefer than online due to same reasons mentioned.
At least local you can see what you're really buying.

Regarding price - everyone has their own budget on what they are willing to spend.
What you may think is expensive a "zoa collector" may not.
