A month ago while catching bay scallops, I found a seahorse amongst the shells and mud. The water was about 40 degrees or less, and I never thought these critters would make it to room temperature, or survive a month. Last week I added a few crabs, shells,a conch, and rocks that all carried some life? Tomorrow , I'll transfer all critters to a new larger tank. Here's the Seahorse and a fish I'm trying to ID.
The critters: 1-Seahorse
3-Killifish
2-Pipefish
8-Unknown fish
15-Grass shrimp
3-Quahogs
7-Scallops
*** Everyone eats frozen, temp. now at 75 degrees.

really? I didnt know that. cool! Truthfully never really thought of where seahorses came from. Very cool yet finding them in mud kind of debunks everything I've ever been told about them needing pristine water conditions.
