We regularly ask our members how we can make the site better. Here is your chance to be heard!

Please post any ideas you have for site functions, bug fixes, usability improvements, whatever. Also, suggestions for events and planning are useful as well.

Be honest, this is your chance to make this site your own.

Thanks!

Josh is there any way to make filling in your location a must when you register? People don't seem to fill it in. Also is there a way to make the RG a members only viewable area?

josh thanks

i would like to suggest a way to keep the reef grafitti permanant and not have to keep clicking old school. thanks. josh have there ever been a equipment forum or a forum regarding issues such as plumbing, elect details? just an idea if possible. i think some people will really benefit from something like this. not saying all the "pros" wouldnt either. people can show how they set up there systems and detail facts that help other reefers etc.

put the RG back on the homepage.

the reason why RG was removed from the homepage to begin with, is that many people go slightly overboard in many different ways. We have all seen it. RG being on the front page, makes it very visible and very frequently the first thing that people see. Until people learn to control themselves there have to be other solutions like the current one.

thanks herm that makes sense. i just wish it could be the persons option whether to have that on there home page. not to have to keep clicking on it. i read a thread i have to re click it again to see it. just annoying that is all i am saying.

For those of you who clamor for the return of RG to the home page. I'd just like to offer a real world situation to put the issue into some perspective.

I have been asked by the 5th grade science teacher at my son's elementary school to speak to his classes and assist him/them in setting up a small marine aquarium in his lab. As part of the project, the students will be asked to do some research and I have been asked to provide some recommended web resources for them to check out. I would love to be able send them over here, but frankly, I wouldn't dare. Even postings in the main threads at times would be inappropriate. It just strikes me as odd that a reef board would be so clearly off limits to kids seeking to learn about this hobby.

Just some food for thought before you start typing.

Having been a culprit of the RG and some risque and down right rude posts I agree with Randy 100%.

I also feel very srongly that the RG should be a registered member only feature of the site. That way on a small example when someone posts their phone number in the RG they don't get prank called from 1 of the 44 guests, or thay don't have someone reverse lookup your address and send you 50 corned beef pizzas!

Thanks Randy.

I agree with Chief.
Also, the member "public profile" should be set to members-only viewable as well.

The only thing I want is a button so I can go from the homepage to the last page in the thread. I frequently only want to check the latest posts, but I have to enter the first page, then click on the last page.

There is a button ming, its located next to the last person who posted.
There is in the General forum, Advanced forum, etc, but not on the homepage
Let me show an example...like if I wanted to go to the last page of "Photo of the week"
