Not Good News For Great Barrier Reef

The good news about that is the pacific decadal oscillation (pdo) has ended it's 35 year warm phase, and it's 35 cool phase has begun. The atlantic is also showing signs of flipping from warm to cool, if it hasn't already. As well, solar cycle 23, our last one, was very active, and solar cycle 24, our current cycle, is so low it can only be compared to the Maunder minimum which caused the little ice age.

Me too. Long term looks likely from what's mentioned, and short term looks good with a strong La Nina looking likely. Now as humans we have to do what we can to reduce over fishing, and pollution that surely has huge effects we may never know the extent of.
