Does anyone in NYC especially Staten Island have any issues with their RODI filter? My sediment cartridge continues to get clogged. It works really well for 2/3 weeks and then runs very slowly. Wondering if anyone in NYC has had similar issues?
Thanks,
Jay

Is it water's psi going onto the unit, or is the filter visually very dirty. Would suspect that on SI your water isn't dirty enough to clog the filter that quick, probably under 65ppm before filter. And water pressure should be decent too, unless there's a plumbing issue. How is the unit tapped onto water?

I was just having the same issue! I'm in Brooklyn Bensonhurst I honestly thought it was my RODI unit that I have up for sale now...last 2 months I've gone thru 2 sediment filters which is outrageous...2 days ago I ordered a buckeye hydro RODI unit...hope I don't have the same issue

That's weird. If it's not a psi issue, and the filters are getting that dirty, that fast....would guess it's a water main issue in the ground coming to the house outside. It is the most likely time of year for that to happen if it's going to, or, the water main coming from upstate that they'v been working on forever is finally turned on and pushing debris throu, idk.

Sounds like some people are having an issue and others aren't. Don't think it's a psi issue, my shower and faucet is great. I'm in a private house not an apt. I bought a RO Buddy. You can't see the cartridge so I'm not sure if it's dirty or not. It's funny because I now have a few filters and if I change them out every once in a while the old one works again. Ro Buddy's customer service has been amazing. They even sent me a brand new system. But after a few weeks I had the same issue and the sediment cartridge slowed down a lot. I'm pretty sure that's the issue because if I put a new sediment cartridge on or I use one that has been sitting for a while in it works great again. RO Buddy's Customer Service said that it could be a build up of biofilm or alum. Does anyone think thats possible? How would I find out if that's in the water? Wonder if it could be an old pipe?

Yes I also have the RO buddie that's what I just put up for sale. Maybe they changed there sediment filter to a smaller micron filter and it's getting clogged quicker now...idk
