Seachem Reef Salt Low Magnesium

Anyone else you seachem Reef Salt. I have been using this since 2002 and never had any problems,but the past year or so the magnesium is constantly low. Only 1100 at 1.026 salinity. I go through 6-200 gallon boxes a year and this has become a problem. I now have to buy magnesium supplements from Bulk Reef Supply to add to newly mixed water all the time- which is a added expense to buying the salt. Anyone having this problem ?

My Magnesium has been low to. Levels around 1120 and been dosing Two Little fishes magnesium. Your totally right I been using Reef Salt the last year I have notice that. I never tested the my new batch but will do so. All Along I thought it was calcium absorbing Magnesium.

contact seachem --- i did-waiting to hear back from them--i contacted them last year when i first noticed this and got nowhere but contacted them again today

I will contact them too. Tomorrow going to make a fresh batch and test it. Let you know what my reading are.

I just tested a new batch and Magnesium was 1290. I don't think it's the salt. I guess my SPS are taken more in.
