..so my Emperor Angel speaks?

For I'm not sure how long, but Ive been hearing a kind of grunting or bullfrog sound coming from my holding tank that has a few fish that I kept from my last build and will house in my next. I remember hearing sounds that I couldn't identify and inspected all my equipment and just wrote it off as maybe egg crate rubbing against the glass or rock.
Today I was waiting for my food to defrost and heard the noise again and it happened every time my angel chased a small hippo tang away.
Never knew this but googled it and there are a few people here and there that has happened to... cool!:thrash:

I posted about that years ago...I had a tank in my business office, and every time I walked into the office my Emperor Angel would 'ask' for food...and only when he saw me!

Not that unusual for fish to make noises, but a learned behavior to make a noise to be fed.... now that is cool!

I have a majestic and blue face angel, for the longest i thought it was plumbing issues, thought maybe the drain pipes had crap in them.... Nope, was my angels grunting. mine are more noticeable at night when the lights are off...
pop pop pop pop pop pop, etc...

Exactly! My tank is a lot more interesting now that I know this because if he can grunt then ears or no ears those other fish are getting the message!
