Dalton Tanks
George Dalton Founder/Owner
Bio ? George Dalton is a 25-year-old young professional living and working in Manhattan. Since the age of 3, George explored his passion for aquatic life fishing along side his grandfather pond-side catching Sunnys. He graduated to hooking Mako sharks and Bluefin Tuna by age 16. Attending Roger Williams University located in Bristol, Rhode Island afforded George the opportunity to maintain close proximity to the ocean as he studied Engineering. Being that Roger Williams is known for its Sciences, Marine Biology being a standout major, had the opportunity to expand his knowledge of water quality, properly caring for a variety of fish from common reef fish such as Clowns to the more exotic Cuddlefish, filtration system and tank design as well as lighting systems. Having graduated with an Engineering Degree, George is well acquainted with the concepts of fluid mechanics, dynamics and chemistry ? the understandings of which are all vital to having a successfully operating reef tank system.
His passion for fish is parallel to his interest in corals. Dalton Tanks has consistently been successful in keeping corals such as Softies, LPS to the more difficult SPS and Acropora. He understands the necessary food, lighting and flow essential for optimal growth, health and ascetic of the corals.
He has had such success over the years that he has colonies of Hammer and Candy Cane, present in his first 10 gallon Biocube established in 2009. These corals have been relocated into multiple different tanks and sustained transportation through four states. He has competently fragged many corals, specifically these two aforementioned types, which have been gifted to friends? and family?s tanks where they continue to thrive.
Dalton Tanks provides maintenance for salt and freshwater tanks. It can provide services for freshwater fish only and plant tanks and can tend to salt water fish only and reef tanks. He is capable of managing any size tank. It provides full service for weekly or bi-weekly depending on the needs of your system.
