Just moved to Lakewood NJ
TDS coming in to my 1st sediment canister is at about 200 on my TDS meter, dose the make senses?
200 TDS of what?
In Brooklyn it was at about 20, what?s in NJ water, scary!!! Any tips on the matter??

Same thing happened to me when I moved from Queens to Westchester.

So, NYC water has incredibly low tds, (some of lowest in country), but high sediment / solids, needing smaller micron pre filters, less so on di.


spectrapure is what I run, so I ended up adding another canister to run both the maxicap and silica buster, along with changing my sediment filter to the zeta zorb .2 micron.

In queens I was able to run basic 4 stage with .5 micron.

yes that is what I do every 2 month it coast me 50 for di resins

Thin film composite membrane has 97-99% rejection rate. Your particle filter and carbon block take out lots before it reaches the membrane. If your going throu resin that fast you'r either making a really lot of water, or your ro/di unit is not working properly.
