T/off protein skimmer

any one have protein skimmer on timer .
turn on in the morning and turn off @night .

Depends on how clean or dirty your water is, how big the skimmer is etc.
Would recommend, even if your fuge light comes on at night,....that if you do do a timer that you run the skimmer at night to help avoid ph swings.

i let my skimmer run 24/7 dont care about electric bill or burning it out,, water is clean and running skimmer for 2 1/2 years srtaight now

Indeed. There is a TON of air exchange happening in that skimmer.
