Guys,

Sorry for the jump in.. Would you guys recommend using baking soda to raise the PH? It is very cheap. I have a friend use baking soda on his FW and probably is a bad idea for a reef?

so I need to buy some additives for balancing the Alk, Cal n PH?

just use the standard arm and hammer. Don't bother with the baking as the article mentions. I did the baking the first time, and without every other time. No difference. Plus i didnt make a mess of my kitchen.
