fugi leather

bin having an issue with my yellow fugi leather ..i upgraded my tank about a year ago and it used to open up to about a foot and a half and now will only open the size of a soft ball...has good flow and light..all levels are good ...have a 2ft round toad stool that has not opened any bigger than a soft ball as well...and ideas anyone...if anyone is in the bergen county area im in elmwood park nj if you wanted to swing by and check it out ...thanks guys...brian

Are the leather close to each other or other leather corals? Leather do release a lot of chemicals, so I would run some carbon and see if that helps.
