Clownfish Suddenly Fighting

Hey guys,

I noticed that my snowflake clowns, both bought at the same time, are behaving aggressively to each other now. Check out this video I just took: https://youtu.be/Ab4ZaY9akuI

Is this something I should be worried about? Its been going non-stop...no bites or nipping. Just this aggressive chase.

how long have you had them together? looks like pretty normal dominance/submissive behaviors of early pairs.

Probably a month or two from a breeder who had a bunch in a tank. They were pretty small when I first got them.

They look close to in size. Could be one determined to became the male. This is normal can go on for a while.

Yes its dominant/submissive behavior one it trying to be the dominant and the other is not being submissive keep an eye on them it can get really bad when my clowns where working out their dominance the female grabbed the males fin with her mouth and shook him like a rag doll if it gets to a point where she is hurting him separate them it usually doesn't get that bad and its all worked out in a week or two

agreed with the above. My Fake percs did this on and off for close to a month. Just trying to figure out who wears the pants (the female of course)

Make sure the tank has a cover on it so they dont jump. I have had a clown jump out because of this. I was at work so came home to a dried up nearly naked clown on the floor...

+1 yes cover the tank and overflow (looks like you have a cover in the video make sure to keep it on

I took the aggressor out and put her into a net breeder. I also left the net in the tank. After a week she was released. The chasing and fighting has stopped completely
