t5 hood lights

is anyone here using just a t5 lighting set-up for all bulbs ? if so how many and what colors. any input would be appriciated. ill be honest im looking to set it up as a complete color range, 12k down to 65 and 2 antic's anyone here have or had at some point. or someone with a t5 hood set-up, post here or feel free to pm me. ty rick

I run T5's exclusively. I've got the SLS TEK 6 x 54w fixture.

My bulbs are as follows:
- 2 UVL actinics in the two outside positions (separate ballast)
- 2 D & D aquablue +
- 2 D & D actinic white (if I remember correctly)

i have a icecap retro...4 bulbs..

2 - Aqua Science Special (15K)
2 - Aqua Science Blue (22K)

acros are growing down at the bottom(22 inches) and color is awesome.

if you are doing your own hood w/ a retrofit kit...make sure you get some fans to blow across...They perform alot better when actively cooled.

i planned to run 4 fans on the back with a slight angle upwards. pull it out and blow it up or 2 on one side blowing and 2 on other end pulling it is a retro i have 6 ballast didnt know if i want to just run 4 17" deepth
